About the role
Little learners-Early intervention is seeking a passionate and experienced part-time Speech Therapist to join our team in Melbourne, VIC. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to young children in our early intervention program. Your work will have a direct and meaningful impact on the development and overall well-being of the children in our care.
What you’ll be doing
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the speech, language, and communication needs of children in our early intervention program
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans to address each child’s specific goals and needs
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other health professionals to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to each child’s care
- Provide direct therapy sessions, either one-on-one or in small groups, to help children improve their speech, language, and communication skills
- Maintain detailed case notes and records to track each child’s progress and ensure continuity of care
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of our early intervention program
What we’re looking for
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in speech-language pathology or a related field
- Registration as a speech therapist with the relevant professional body
- At least 2 years of experience providing speech and language therapy services, preferably in an early intervention or paediatric setting
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapy techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, families, and other professionals
- A passion for early childhood development and a commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of young children
