As a Radiographer (P1/P2), your primary objective is to provide high-quality diagnostic medical imaging services to the Alice Springs Hospital (ASH), NT Health Central Australia Region (CAR) and to Community Health Centre and private practitioners as requested.
Working alongside a team of medical professionals and with modern equipment, you will provide medical imaging services, assist with the diagnosis and treatment of patients, and perform patient registration functions to ensure the accuracy of the hospital information system You will also assist with the hospitals ongoing commitment to Quality Assurance, ensure safe work practices are in line with the departments radiation policy and participate in the 24-hour roster / emergency on-call.
To be successful you require a recognised Medical Radiation qualification with eligibility for registration of the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT) and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Extensive experience/knowledge of various fields of Radiography, sound working knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety and radiation safety is essential.
Experience in Computerised Tomography and/or Mammography will be well received.
