Joinery Estimator & Selection Consultant

Salary: $60,000 – $75,000 per year

What you’ll be doing

1. Conducting detailed site measurements and assessments to accurately scope joinery projects
2. Preparing detailed estimates for custom joinery solutions, including cabinetry, furniture, and related items
3. Collaborating with clients to understand their specific needs and preferences, and providing expert advice on product selection and design
4. Maintaining strong relationships with clients throughout the estimating and selection process
5. Working closely with the production team to ensure estimates align with manufacturing capabilities and timelines
6. Staying up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and techniques to provide the best possible solutions for our clients

What we’re looking for

1. Significant experience (3+ years) in a similar estimating or selection consultant role within the construction or joinery industry
2. Experience across any type of joinery work is valued, including custom cabinetry, commercial fit-outs, and residential joinery
3. Excellent technical knowledge of joinery products, materials, and construction methods
4. Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, comprehensive estimates
5. Exceptional communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to translate technical information into easy-to-understand recommendations
6. Proficiency in any estimating software is required for accurate project calculations and quotations
7. Experience with any CAD software is preferred for estimating requirements
8. A keen eye for design and the ability to provide creative solutions to meet client requirements
9. A collaborative, team-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
10. Candidates must have current Australian work rights at the time of application
