The Role:
- Operate our vacuum excavator trucks & units to complete jobs (80% labouring, 20% truck driving)
- Assist customers where possible
- Understanding & completion of basic paperwork (JSEA’s, pre-starts, work dockets, timesheets etc.)
- Routine vehicle maintenance & cleaning
- Assist with ensuring our company services are delivered in a safe and efficient manner
- Support other team members in solving problems and completing tasks
- At times work outside of Canberra
- Do on call/rostered work at night and on weekends when required
What you need to Succeed:
- Experience as a vacuum excavator operator, not essential.
- Be physically fit (job involves hard physical work)
- Excellent organisation skills
- The ability to prioritise tasks
- Time management skills (punctual & reliable)
- Understanding & completion of basic paperwork (JSEA’s, pre-starts, work dockets, timesheets etc.)
- The ability to work independently and in a team environment
- A passion for customer service
- Excellent communication & language skills (phone manner etc)
- Initiative to get jobs done and assist in solving problems that may arise
