About the role
We are seeking experienced Diesel Fitters to join our team. As a Diesel Fitter, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis, servicing, repairs and improvements to our customers assets from commercial vessels, to super yachts to smaller private leisure craft.
What you’ll be doing
- Performing scheduled maintenance and inspections on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other components
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with diesel-powered equipment, and implementing effective repair solutions.
- Rebuilding, overhauling, and replacing diesel engine components as required
- Maintaining detailed records of all work performed and parts used
- Supervising & collaborating with the wider team to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
- Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment
What we’re looking for
- Formal qualifications in Diesel Fitting or a related trade, such as a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade
- Experience as a Diesel Fitter, with a proven track record of maintaining and repairing heavy machinery and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues
- Strong technical knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Proficient in the use of a range of tools and equipment, including computerised diagnostic tools
- Commitment to workplace health and safety, with a focus on following procedures and maintaining a safe work environment
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with team members and our wide customer base.
