About the role
David L Ormsby Haulage Pty Ltd, a leading construction company in Sydney, is seeking experienced Loader Operators to join our team. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery such as front-end loaders and Tipper Driver working on Sydney Trains work sites.
What you’ll be doing
- Safely operate and maintain a range of heavy construction equipment, including front-end loaders.
- Load and unload materials, move earth, and assist with various construction tasks
- Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on assigned equipment
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies
- Work collaboratively with the construction crew to complete projects on time and to a high standard
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating heavy construction equipment such as front-end loaders and Tipper Driver with experience with Road Ranger
- Valid driver’s licence and relevant construction equipment licenses or certifications
- Front-end loader licence specifically required for this position
- White Card certification is mandatory for this position
- Strong safety-focused mindset and the ability to work in a team environment
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this role
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Willingness to work overtime and on weekends as required
- Rail Safety Worker Card, Medical Clearance, and Track Safety Training are essential for working on Sydney Trains sites
- Rail Safety Worker Card and Track Safety Training must be obtained before starting employment
