Scaffold Estimator

    Salary: $80,000 – $120,000 per yea

    About the Role

    We are seeking an experienced Scaffolding Estimator to join our team. This role is critical in preparing accurate, competitive, and timely estimates for scaffolding projects across a range of commercial, residential, civil and industrial projects. You will be responsible for analysing drawings, specifications, and site conditions to deliver cost-effective and profitable quotations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Review project documentation, tender requests, and engineering drawings to prepare accurate scaffolding estimates.
    • Calculate material, labour, transport, and hire costs using square meter rates and project-specific requirements.
    • Liaise with clients, site supervisors, engineers, and suppliers to clarify scope and ensure pricing accuracy.
    • Prepare and submit detailed quotations and proposals within required timeframes.
    • Maintain estimating spreadsheets, pricing models, and databases.
    • Track and review project costs against estimates to identify variances.
    • Support business development by providing technical advice and assisting with client meetings.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and pricing

    Skills & Experience

    • 5 years previous experience as a Scaffolding Estimator.
    • Solid understanding of Australian Kwikstage and modular scaffolding systems, including construction stairs, stretcher stairs, containment sheeting, and related components.
    • Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety standards, and industry hire practices.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and/or estimating software.
    • Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and time management skills.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to build client relationships.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to use Avontus to draft and design small builds when required in house is preferable.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
